Job summary

Sysco Louisville, Inc. is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) leader to implement prevention-focused programs across the operation.

This OpCo role will develop and execute a site-specific HSE strategy that aligns with Sysco's corporate objectives, including security and crisis preparedness. You will drive audits, training, incident investigations, regulatory liaison, and performance metrics; oversee staff selection and development; and lead a zero-incident safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certifications with equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of hands-on environmental and safety experience in warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or transportation.
• CSP certification or working toward it; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop HSE strategy in support of Corporate goals.
• Create plans to reduce injuries, incidents, and violations.
• Communicate HSE strategy to Senior Leadership.
• Support site management in implementing HSE plans.
• Design metrics to track progress and drive accountability.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs.
• Lead audits to identify gaps in local compliance with HSE policies.
• Interface with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state/local regulators.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Drive a zero-incident safety culture across Sysco operations.
