Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training in safety duties preferred.
• Experience in safety observations/inspections and compliance planning considered a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other federal safety standards, principles, practices and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs.
• Develop and conduct occupational safety training for all employees and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Maintain all HSE training records and notify managers of training requirements.
• Coordinate scheduling of employees for training and ensure a safe workplace.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and prepare reports with recommendations.
