Job summary

DSV is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote a culture of safety across the campus. The role focuses on planning and evaluating safety programs, delivering training, maintaining records, investigating incidents, and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training in safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other federal safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs.
• Develop and conduct occupational safety training for all employees, including evaluation and modification of programs to meet OSHA requirements.
• Maintain all HSE training records and notify managers of training requirements or deficiencies.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and OSHA regulations; provide guidance on safety policies.
• Coordinate scheduling of trainings and conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Monitor accident statistics, analyze trends, and propose remedial actions.
• Liaise with corporate safety and third-party administrators on workers' comp claims.
