Job summary

MICON Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Director of HSE to design, implement and direct environmental, health and safety programs for large infrastructure projects across North America.

You will work with senior management, interfacing with client personnel, and lead a team to ensure site HSE plans align with corporate values and regulatory requirements. The role demands exceptional organizational and communication skills, leadership, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HSE experience in the utility construction industry, compliance/regulation experience, or an equivalent combination of safety and construction experience.
• Safety Credentials (i.e., CHST, CUSP, CSP, COSS, OSHA 500, etc.)
• Ability to attract, develop, manage and retain talent.
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team.
• Ability to travel with minimal lead time in response to HSE needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and direct programs, guidelines, and procedures while providing personal leadership and setting an example to follow all environmental, health and safety work practices and procedures.
• Interface with senior management, peers, subordinates and client personnel to effectively oversee project site HSE plans and align with corporate values, requirements and initiatives.
• Provide leadership, structure, enhance customer service and drive innovation and process change across the organization.
