IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead site safety and environmental compliance for a utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System project in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, regulatory compliance, and building a strong safety culture on a fast-paced construction site. Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, you’ll own site HSE programs, conduct risk assessments, deliver training, and coordinate audits while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience on comparable construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management or a related discipline OR CSP/CIH/CHST or equivalent.
• Option 2: 7 years of directly related HSE experience on comparable construction projects.
• Experience in the United States and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to influence safety across levels.
• Willingness to travel and work on site in Alamogordo, NM.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement and maintain site HSE Plans and Emergency Response Plans.
• Provide day-to-day HSE leadership to management, employees, contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct job hazard analyses, risk assessments and safety reviews.
• Develop safe work procedures for high-risk activities.
• Coordinate safety orientations, training, toolbox talks and awareness initiatives.
• Lead safety inspections and audits; document deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Oversee injury management and return-to-work activities.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Represent HSE in client meetings and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor cranes, lifting, rigging, confined spaces, and working at heights.
• Ensure PPE and protection systems are maintained.
• Identify and manage environmental risks and spill response.
• Promote a proactive safety culture.
