Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company in Chestertown, MD, seeks an HSE Manager to lead site safety, process safety and environmental programs. You will manage one HSE professional and partner with Manufacturing leadership to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, biology, occupational health and safety, engineering or other related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in chemical or petrochemical industry highly preferred.
• Industrial wastewater experience highly preferred.
• Experience managing an HSE team preferred.
• Prior people leadership and coaching experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Joint responsibility for overall HSE performance at the Chestertown site and drive continual improvement.
• Understand and execute all permits at the site.
• Assure site environmental compliance and lead key elements of permits.
