Job summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager in Oklahoma City to lead and continually improve all HSE programs. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations while advancing a strong safety culture across operations.

You will partner with operations, engineering, maintenance and leadership to identify risks, reduce incidents, train employees, and drive environmental stewardship and continuous improvement as part of daily site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field (required).
• 8–12 years of HSE management experience.
• CSP, CIH, CHMM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage site HSE policies and programs.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and JHAs for the site.
• Coordinate safety training programs including new-hire orientation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental standards and permits.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action development.
• Manage environmental programs: waste, hazardous materials, emissions, wastewater, recycling.
• Plan and conduct internal HSE audits and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, and HR to integrate HSE.
