Job summary

Walsh Group in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an HSE Manager to lead site-specific health, safety and environmental programs for our Data Center Group. The role emphasizes inspections, incident investigations and implementing robust EHS processes.

The ideal candidate coordinates with project teams, conducts audits, provides training, and ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations. A CHST and a Bachelor’s degree are required or equivalent; some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards as well as hazard recognition and injury management skills.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific EHS plans in collaboration with the Project Manager and leadership.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and vendor/owner personnel safety processes.
• Conduct quarterly on-site EHS audits and inspect for regulatory and company compliance.
• Perform accident investigations and report incidents for PM review.
• Advise on Industrial Hygiene protocols and perform environmental monitoring.
• Manage Drug-Free Workplace policy including required testing.
• Provide EHS training and orientation for new hires.
