Job summary

The Walsh Group in Mount Pleasant, WI seeks a Sr. HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental programs for our Data Center Group.

This role guides the development and implementation of EHS processes across assigned projects and collaborates with project teams to manage risks and losses. The ideal candidate has a safety-focused degree, CHST certification, and 7+ years on major construction sites, with strong leadership and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification
• Minimum 7 years of experience on major construction projects
• Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking and time management
• Knowledge of regulations, standards, hazard recognition and injury management
• Some travel required
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit and climb stairs or ladders

Responsibilities

• Implements comprehensive EHS processes for assigned projects and assists in evaluation of site, equipment, and processes
• Oversees HSE Managers and develops site-specific EHS plans
• Coordinates subcontractor EHS protocols and project-wide EHS programs with teams
• Leads investigations and documents findings, initiates corrective actions
• Ensures required reports are complete and submitted per procedures
• Ensures Industrial Hygiene protocols are implemented
• Manages Drug-Free Workplace Policy and testing programs
• Provides training and education on safety requirements
• Provides weekly EHS updates to leadership
• Administers the corporate SPAT process on projects
