Job summary

The Walsh Group, Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking an HSE Manager for our Water Division in Bradenton, FL. You will lead site-specific EHS planning, audits, investigations, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with project teams and subcontractors to minimize risk.

Responsibilities include implementing EHS programs, conducting safety meetings, delivering training, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards, hazard recognition and injury management; some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan with the Project Manager and management team.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel; coordinate project EHS programs with subcontractors.
• Coordinate quarterly comprehensive on-site EHS audits and inspect for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for Project Management review.
• Accompany injured employees to treatment and ensure EHS protocols are followed.
• Advise on Industrial Hygiene protocols; perform Environmental Monitoring.
• Manage the Company’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy and testing as required.
• Provide training and education to personnel regarding EHS requirements and new hire orientation.
• Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
• Provide weekly EHS updates to EHS Leadership.
