Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a full-time HSE/Safety professional to ensure compliance with corporate, federal, and state safety policies. Develops training materials, conducts safety training, and new hire orientation, while performing on-site observations and inspections across field sites.

Extensive travel to field sites is required and involves OSHA, MSHA, and DOT documentation, incident investigations, toolbox talks, and subcontractor safety oversight.

Qualifications

• HSE/Safety degree with 0–3 years in safety or 1–3 years in heavy civil construction without degree.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel overnight/long distances.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops training materials and conducts safety training and new hire orientation.
• Performs on-site safety observations, inspections, audits, and needs assessments.
• Pre-plans safety with risk assessments and job hazard analyses, identifying hazards and controls.
• Maintains OSHA, MSHA, and DOT documentation and prepares related materials.
• Leads incident investigations and creates toolbox talks and safety modules.
• Oversees subcontractor safety compliance and related training.
• Supports project planning with safety expertise and provides field support.
• Conducts post-accident drug screens and participates in project huddles.
