Qualifications

• HSE/Safety related Bachelor's degree with 0–3 years of experience, or no degree with 1–3 years in heavy civil construction.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel overnight or long distances on occasion.
• Ability to learn and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Develops training materials, conducts safety training, and new hire orientation.
• Conducts on-site safety observations, inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Performs incident investigations and post-accident drug screens.
• Develops site-specific Toolbox Talks, Safety Flashes, and monthly training modules.
• Oversees subcontractor safety compliance and performance.
• Oversees OSHA and MSHA inspections and related training.
• Attends project planning meetings and morning huddles.
