Job summary

Dauch Corporation seeks an experienced EHS professional to lead health, safety and environmental programs for a large manufacturing facility. You will ensure compliance with local and federal regulations, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the liaison with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, investigations, and training, maintaining ISO14001/OHSAS18001 certification, and coordinating with corporate HSE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in industrial safety/engineering
• 2–5 years of manufacturing safety experience
• Strong knowledge of OHSAS/ISO standards and legislation
• Lead Auditor certification ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 preferred; OSHA 30 preferred
• Union environment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the health, safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the plant team to improve HSE performance.
• Conduct monthly plant workplace inspections and communicate findings.
• Maintain records of inspections, investigations, corrective actions, etc.
• Collect HSE data and report to internal and corporate personnel.
• Lead accident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Ensure corrective actions from incidents, audits, inspections and risk assessments are implemented.
• Create and conduct HSE training for all employees.
• Oversee OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001; maintain certification through audits.
• Act as liaison between the company and regulatory agencies.
• Acquire and maintain local, state, and federal permits.
• Lead hazardous waste registration, collection and disposal.
• Evaluate injuries and trends and address negative impact.
• Lead machine risk assessments and follow up.
• Develop communication strategies to maintain safety awareness.
