Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Ohio seeks a Health and Safety Environmental Lead to oversee the facility's HSE programs, ensuring compliance with local, state and corporate policies. You will drive incidents investigations, data reporting, training development, and audits to maintain ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

You will collaborate with plant teams to improve safety performance, manage permits, and lead hazardous waste processes while interfacing with regulatory agencies and corporate staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate in Industrial Safety/Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of OHSAS / ISO standards and related legislation.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO14001 / OHSAS 18001 preferred (can be obtained).
• OSHA 30 experience preferred.
• Union environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of health, safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with plant team to improve HSE performance.
• Conduct monthly plant workplace inspections and follow up on findings.
• Maintain records of inspections, investigations, corrective and preventive actions.
• Collect HSE data and report to corporate personnel; ensure month-end data is captured.
• Lead accident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Ensure corrective actions from incidents, audits, inspections are implemented.
• Develop and deliver HSE training for all employees.
• Oversee ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 audits and maintain certification.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and manage permits.
• Lead the management of hazardous waste.
