Nutreco’s HSE Lead is a full‑time position based in Indiana, Indianapolis. You will lead a team of HSE specialists, champion a safety culture, and drive global HSE initiatives across multiple locations while ensuring compliance with standards and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management, and project management skills, to partner with site teams and business counterparts and advance Nutreco’s safety performance and responsible production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Engineering or Occupational Safety and Environmental Health.
• Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor certification or Certified Industrial Training (CIT) is a plus.
• At least 4 years of strong environmental and/or safety experience in manufacturing operations and site HSE management
• In depth knowledge of Pressure Systems, LOTOTO, Mechanical Integrity, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, Cranes and Lifting, Electricity, Fire and Dust explosion, forklift, Hazardous Substances, permit to work, Emergency response, Ergonomics.
• Experience in Behavioral Safety and local legal requirements
• Strong project management skills and business acumen
• Ability to partner and communicate effectively with employees and business counterparts
