Job summary

Covestro's Health and Environmental Safety (HSE) internship in Pittsburgh, PA welcomes students for ~12 weeks in summer 2027. The program seeks students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in safety management, industrial hygiene, or environmental science/engineering, with sophomore standing and a GPA of 3.0+,

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with a focus in one of the following majors: safety management, industrial hygiene or environmental science/engineering.
• Completion of sophomore year.
• Preferred: completion of junior year; GPA 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the site’s HSE Management System through inspections, hazard assessments and field observations.
• Assist with fall protection, work permits, confined spaces, machine safety, and other OSHA-regulated activities.
• Participate in monthly emergency response trainings and incident investigations, and help develop corrective actions.
