Phillips Medisize Environmental Health & Safety Intern Summer 2027 is an in-person internship across Wisconsin locations, offering hands-on exposure to safety programs and manufacturing environments. The role emphasizes collaboration with site teams and mentorship from safety professionals to develop practical EH&S skills.

The program runs for 12 weeks, with opportunities to contribute to incident investigations, audits, and environmental activities while learning Koch's Principle-Based

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Stewardship, Risk Control, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering related degree program.
• Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2029.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Involvement with on-site safety committee activities, gaining exposure to lockout-tagout, machine guarding, assisting with on-site hazardous waste program
• Maintain/update injury prevention plan & workplace violence prevention plan
• Assist with overall environmental functions for the assigned facility and partners with onsite management and other resources to ensure local program ownership and accountability.
• Provide support of safety initiatives at a designated facility with guidance from local safety, health and environmental management/personnel. To include (but not limited to):
• Incident investigations and reporting
• Safety audits
• Process and/or procedure writing
