Job summary

Sms Group Inc. seeks a Corporate Manager of Safety and Environmental to lead health, safety and environmental (HSE) programs across construction sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management.

You will partner with project management and leadership to promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement. The role requires deep technical knowledge of construction methods, strong leadership, and experience overseeing contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE management across multiple construction and field service projects.
• Develop and maintain site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and Safe Work Procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, local, and client requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Plan and deliver safety training and keep annual compliance up to date.
• Coordinate with project teams to manage contractor safety performance.
