YWCA Tri-County Area in Pottstown, PA, seeks a High School Equivalency Instructor / Digital Literacy Specialist to prepare adults for the GED and boost digital skills. This full-time, 35-hour/week role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with planning time and a $26/hour compensation.

Responsibilities include engaging, interactive instruction across reading, math, social studies, science, and writing, plus distance-learning support and documentation; collaboration with staff in Pottstown and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
• Experience teaching or supporting adults in education.
• Ability to create positive learning environments for adult learners.
• Comfortable using technology and distance-learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive learning environment through lesson planning and program improvement efforts.
• Design and implement supplemental activities to reinforce key concepts.
• Use interactive teaching methods to engage students in conversations and hands-on activities.
• Provide supplemental distance learning opportunities to interested students.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student attendance and progress.
• Adhere to guidelines set by YWCA, PA Dept of Education, and program developers.
• Collaborate with team members in Pottstown and Norristown.
• Participate in professional development and program meetings.
• Other duties as assigned within scope of position.
