Job summary

HITACHI RAIL HONOLULU JV in Pearl City, Hawaii, is seeking an HSE professional to lead COI- and program-level safety initiatives. You will implement and maintain the HSE Management System, drive hazard identification, risk assessment, and corrective actions on the project.

The role requires strong communication, training delivery, and experience with ISO 14001/45001 and OSHA standards. A valid driver’s license and proficiency with MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• OSHA 511, OSHA 30 General Industry, or equivalent training.
• Strong communication, presentation and training delivery skills.
• Experience engaging stakeholders across disciplines in HSE programs.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001/45001 in certified orgs.
• Experience developing site safety programs and evaluating workplace environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to establishing and maintaining HSE management system on the Project.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, regulations and client requirements.
• Identify hazards, perform risk assessments and define controls.
• Support HSE program audits and development of HSE improvement actions.
• Develop local safety communications and site safety committee engagement.
• Identify emergencies and implement appropriate response measures.
• Monitor, report, and communicate HSE performance; propose corrective actions.
• Ensure incident reporting, investigation and learning from events.
