Job summary
Hitachi Rail Honolulu JV seeks an experienced O&M Senior HSE Advisor based in Pearl City, Hawaii. The role blends administrative and strategic tasks within a fast-paced environment, focusing on establishing and maintaining an effective HSE Management System in compliance with standards.
The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in safety, OSHA 30, strong communication and training delivery skills, and experience implementing ISO 14001/45001.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years in a safety related role.
- OSHA 30 General Industry or equivalent training.
- Strong communication, presentation and training delivery experience.
- Experience engaging stakeholders across disciplines in the HSE program.
- Experience implementing ISO 14001 and 45001 certified organizations.
- Experience implementing site safety programs.
- Ability to inspect workplaces for compliance and prepare reports.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain HSE management system per standards.
- Implement activities in line with HSE policies and requirements.
- Identify hazards and implement controls.
- Coordinate internal audits of HSE management system.
- Develop HSE programs to meet objectives and targets.
- Lead site safety committee engagement.
- Identify emergency scenarios and response measures.
- Monitor, report, and improve HSE performance.
- Investigate and analyze accidents and incidents.
- Identify findings and implement corrective actions.
- Inspect Rail Operations Center and stations for compliance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support operations.
