Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in San Antonio is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for the Accelerated BSN Program to provide didactic and clinical teaching, mentorship and evaluation.

Position Description

The Adjunct Instructor - Accelerated BSN position is anon-tenure-track faculty position that provides didactic and/orclinical teaching support for the Accelerated Bachelor of Sciencein Nursing (ABSN) Program within the Texas Tech University HealthSciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing. The position supportsstudent learning and academic success through instruction,evaluation, and collaboration with course faculty and programleadership. The Adjunct Instructor serves as a subject matterresource within assigned content areas and contributes to theachievement of the School of Nursing’s educational mission.

An ideal candidate for this position would be a practicing nursewho is passionate about student success and enjoys teaching,mentoring, and evaluating nursing students in clinical, classroom,and simulation settings.

Must reside in the San Antonio area

Major/Essential Functions

• Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinicalteaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.
• Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.
• Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and/orevaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab,as assigned.
• Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance andlearning achievements.
• Provides subject matter expertise on course content, asassigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the academicmission of the Health Sciences Center and the School ofNursing.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college ofuniversity.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in baccalaureate nursingeducation.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.

Licensure

• Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State ofTexas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Awareness of current issues/trends in nursing and highereducation.
