Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training/work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Current AED, CPR, and AED certificate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum requirements and accommodations.
• Plan and use diverse instructional strategies and materials tailored to student needs.
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Work with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and coordinate goals and methods with staff.
• Assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and supervise completion.
• Use varied instructional techniques to improve student athletes’ skills.
• Manage athletic activities, contests, and practices to promote growth and sportsmanship.
