Job summary

Perryton ISD is seeking a Teacher/Coach to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction and coaching for students at the assigned campus. The role emphasizes classroom management, curriculum delivery, and student growth across physical, social, and emotional development.

The candidate will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training/work experience for DOI waivers.
• Demonstrated competency in the core subject area assigned.
• AED/CPR certificate for P.E. teachers (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the district curriculum and accommodate individual student differences.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials that reflect learning styles and needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Set instructional goals with staff and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Manage classroom behavior and protect students and resources.
• Communicate with parents, students, and colleagues.
• Participate in staff development and adhere to district policies.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
