Job summary

Region 18 ESC seeks a Teacher/Coach at the High School level to deliver core subject instruction and coach student-athletes in assigned sports. The role involves creating engaging lesson plans, deploying distance learning when needed, and promoting athletic growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements, AED certification, and a Texas CDL with P and S endorsements for potential transportation duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements.
  • Competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
  • AED certificate.
  • Texas CDL with P and School Bus endorsements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum requirements and show evidence of preparation.
  • Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for in-person and distance learning.
  • Instruct and coach students in assigned sports and supervise athletic activities.
  • Coordinate with athletic director to schedule competitions and travel; ensure UIL compliance.
  • Communicate with parents and staff; provide ongoing feedback on student achievement.
