Job summary

PCM CSD seeks an HS Boys' Track Assistant Coach (Anticipated) to provide leadership, supervision and organization of the track program. You will help students develop skills, discipline and self-esteem while maintaining safe, constructive practice environments.

Responsibilities include staying current with coaching techniques, teaching proper form, ensuring safety, communicating with students, parents and staff, and supporting the head coach in all program activities.

• Be knowledgeable of rules and regulations plus changes that occur.
• Coach individual participants in the skill areas necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved as assigned by the head coach.
• Ensure student safety and maintain appropriate conduct during activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Adhere to all district policies and guidelines related to extracurricular activities.

Yearly stipend - $2,565

Purpose

To provide leadership, supervision and organization of a specific athletic activity and to carry out the objectives of the total athletic program, to include helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline, and an increased level of self-esteem.

Requirements

• Valid Iowa Coaching License or Authorization
• Mandatory Reporter Training-child abuse
