Job summary

Sandvik AB seeks an HR Contact Advisory Specialist in North Carolina to support recruitment, onboarding, and HR data management within the Workday HRIS. You will help review employment contracts and create offer letters while safeguarding employee records.

You will coordinate employment checks, maintain HR data across systems, and monitor Workday processes. This role serves as the first HR contact and supports policy interpretation and leadership coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years HR experience in a professional environment using an HRIS.
• Experience onboarding new hires and updating employee profiles in the HRIS.
• Experience navigating Workday and assisting employees with updates.
• Basic HR concepts and terminology (101 level).
• Familiarity with I-9 verifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and spoken English; team-oriented and customer focused.
• Willing to learn Sandvik policies, Code of Conduct, values and leadership principles.

Responsibilities

• Support Recruiting Manager and HR Generalist with Workday recruitment steps and offer letters.
• Coordinate employment checks (right to work, medical, references, and criminal records).
• Maintain employee data in Workday and HR systems; manage HR records.
• Monitor Workday processes per approvals and timelines.
• Be first point of contact for HR enquiries; triage to Tier 2.
• Use Workday-Help case management system.
• Maintain HR Policies & Procedures and HR SharePoint.
• Assist employees and managers with HR system usage.
• Coordinate Leadership when required.
• Generate HR reports from Workday; provide monthly and ad hoc reports.
• Manage invoices for HR services.
• Assist with HR projects and other duties.
