Job summary

SWBC Professional Employer Services V in Texas seeks an experienced Human Resources and Workers' Compensation Manager to lead its HR and Workers' Compensation teams. You will guide client relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve service delivery across HR functions and claims management.

You will direct policy development, employee relations, and training initiatives while advising clients on employment laws and wage regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Six years of progressive human resources experience with emphasis on employee relations, performance management, and employment law compliance.
• Six years of experience supervising or managing HR professionals or related operational teams.
• Previous experience with workers' compensation administration, claims management, and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise, coach, and evaluate employees within the HR and Workers' Compensation teams.
• Establish clear performance expectations, departmental goals, and accountability measures.
• Monitor workloads, productivity, client responsiveness, and service quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and client service delivery.
• Oversee employee training, development, and performance management.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, investigations, and policy compliance.
• Advise client management on employment laws and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee unemployment claims administration and hearings.
• Review client job descriptions for ADA/FLSA compliance.
• Develop and revise client employee handbooks and workplace policies.
• Ensure timely communication with clients, carriers, and third-party administrators.
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
