Job summary

The City of Fort Wayne's Human Resources team is seeking an HR Training & Development Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting employee learning, professional development, and organization-wide HR initiatives under the Professional Development Manager. This is a part-time role designed to provide practical exposure to HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the administration of the City's employee training platform
• Manage employee accounts and training records in Global E-Training
• Help managers and supervisors review and evaluate available training modules
• Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and employee information
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the Professional Development Manager and HR team
• Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding activities
• Support organization-wide training programs and meetings
• Assist with employee recognition programs and special events
• Help prepare training materials, communications, and other resources
• Provide general support for Human Resources projects and initiatives
