Job summary

Mecklenburg County Government in Charlotte, NC is seeking an HR Departmental IT Manager to own and optimize enterprise HCM systems (PeopleSoft, Cornerstone, HR Acuity, ServiceNow). You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to deliver scalable solutions and ensure data integrity across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of progressively responsible technical systems experience including supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted
• Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
• Strong PeopleSoft HCM and benefits administration knowledge
• Proficiency in complex PeopleSoft query creation
• Strong SQL proficiency
• Gathering and analyzing requirements
• Understanding of file transfer methodologies (SFTP, API)
• Business Intelligence

• Customer Relationship Management
• Master's degree

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, debug, and/or customize information technology (IT) solutions for department-based solutions
• Apply best practices and advanced methodologies, including Agile techniques, to address and review system requirements, business processes, changing development and technology environments
• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for a range of hardware and software-related system
• Respond to and diagnose problems through discussion with users, which includes trouble shooting, fault rectification and problem escalation
• Provide effective and timely resolution of users’ problems, queries, or complaints
• Assist in hardware and software evaluation and recommend upgrades or improvements to IT infrastructure
