Job summary

The State of Alaska, Department of Fish and Game, Division of Administrative Services in Juneau, seeks a Human Resource Technician 2 to support recruitment and provide technical HR assistance to managers and staff.

You will work with a collaborative HR team, gaining hands-on experience in HR functions while helping to hire and support Alaska's diverse workforce. The role offers hybrid in-office and telework after training.

Qualifications

• Six months of entry technical level experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
• Graduation from high school or the equivalent and one year of advanced clerical experience.
• One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours from an accredited college or university equals one year) in any field.

Responsibilities

• Provide journey level human resource technical assistance to DFG managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Assist with Recruitment and provide accurate HR information to hiring managers and employees.
• Join a collaborative HR team that values partnerships, problem solving, and service to a diverse workforce.
• Support HR recruitment processes and help ensure staff are hired and supported.
