Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a Retirement and Benefits Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
• Six months of entry-level technical experience applying basic knowledge of retirement or benefits programs, HR policies, or related processing.
• One year of advanced clerical work supporting technical or professional staff and applying guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming retirement contributions and related data from 150+ Alaska employers.
• Collaborate with payroll professionals to ensure accurate retirement reporting for state programs.
• Assist with developing and operating a new employer reporting portal and system.
• Work under supervision to learn retirement reporting processes and system usage.
