The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities seeks a Human Resources Technician 2 to support Workplace Alaska recruitments, assist hiring managers through the hiring process, and provide an exceptional applicant experience. This position emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and professional communication.

Based in Juneau with in-state telework options, the role collaborates across teams to ensure timely and compliant HR processes while upholding Alaska’s Keep Alaska Moving

Formación

• Six months of entry technical level HR experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; see substitutions.
• One year of advanced clerical experience may substitute.
• One year of postsecondary education (32 sem hrs / 48 qtr hrs) may substitute.
• Alaska resident eligibility required.

Responsabilidades

• Review recruitment bulletins and ensure compliance.
• Assist hiring managers with applicant disposition and offers.
• Close and archive job requests and track WPA hires.
• Respond to inquiries about WPA and hiring procedures.
• Provide guidance on interview questions and reference checks.
• Make minimum qualification determinations on complex applications.
