Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of HR experience.
• Post-secondary education in HR or equivalent is required.
• CHRP designation is an asset.
• Experience in health care is an asset.
• Experience with an HRIS is an asset.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong emotional intelligence with a customer service mindset.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee relations, including performance management and investigations.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
• Assist in employee relations investigations and documentation.
• Support development and execution of Employee Engagement plans and town halls.
• Coordinate service recognition ceremonies and activities.
• Participate in Health & Safety committee activities.
• Coordinate WSIB/WSBC claims management and return-to-work programs.
• Act as the first contact for questions about the Collective Agreement.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure agreements are followed and manage grievances.
• Assist in grievances, disciplinary actions and arbitration matters.
