Job summary

The Morrison Center is seeking a Human Resources & Talent Operations Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role in Scarborough, ME. You will own full-cycle recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, and leave management while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

You will act as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, coordinate with HR vendors, and support HRIS/ATS processes to improve our people operations across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 1-3 years HR experience including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration or employee support
  • Knowledge of FMLA, workers' compensation, ADA and related employment laws
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and HR systems, including HRIS, ATS, or benefits administration platform

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies and support workforce needs
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientations, and employee documentation
  • Support employee offboarding activities, including exit documentation and process coordination
  • Assist with employee benefit enrollments, changes, and general benefits inquiries
  • Administer and track FMLA and other leave requests and required documentation
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims and communication with insurance carriers
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Support HR compliance initiatives and employment-related documentation

Job Summary

The Human Resources & Talent Operations Specialist supports key HR functions, including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, FMLA and leave management, workers' compensation coordination, and employee record management. This position serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers while helping ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
