Job summary

R & D SPECIALTIES LLC. Odessa, Texas is seeking an HR & Talent Specialist to support daily HR operations and lifecycle processes. You will handle recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and employee engagement in a dynamic environment.

You will partner with managers to ensure a positive employee experience, maintain compliant documentation, and help promote strong workplace culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Previous HR experience, preferably in HR generalist and recruiting role.
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, employee documentation, benefits, and employee relations.
• Experience working with job-posting platforms and staffing agencies preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and HR practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting activities from job posting through hire, and coordinating hiring-manager interviews.
• Post positions, screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interviews.
• Manage relationships with staffing agencies and coordinate temporary, contract, and direct-hire needs.
• Coordinate offers, pre-employment requirements, hiring documentation, and recruiting records.
• Coordinate onboarding from offer acceptance through orientation and prepare new-hire documentation.
• Partner with managers to ensure employees are prepared for their first day and successful transition.
• Maintain confidential personnel files and accurate HR records; process employee changes including promotions and terminations.
• Assist employees with benefit enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and benefit questions.
• Coordinate and track employee and management training; maintain training records.
• Serve as HR resource for employee questions, workplace concerns, and company policies; support performance matters and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate employee recognition, engagement, retention, stay-interviews, and exit-interviews.
