Job summary

Lightspeed Systems invites an HR Operations Specialist to own and optimize HRIS/ATS systems, ensuring data integrity and scalable processes. You’ll manage onboarding, offboarding, compliance, benefits, and leave, while building SOPs and dashboards.

The role blends systems ownership with process architecture in a hybrid setup at our Austin headquarters. You’ll collaborate on recruiting ops, maintain records, and utilize AI tools to streamline communications and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an HR administrative, HR operations, HRIS, or generalist role with heavy systems and process ownership.
• Proven track record of building and strengthening HR systems and processes independently.
• Strong HRIS/ATS experience: configuring, auditing, and maintaining data integrity in HR systems.
• Documentation-first mindset: write SOPs and repeatable processes.
• Working knowledge of I-9, FMLA/leave basics, recordkeeping.
• Self-starter energy and a fast, independent learning style.

Responsibilities

• Own HR systems and data integrity. Administer HRIS and ATS end-to-end, ensuring systems of record remain accurate and trustworthy.
• Administer the employee lifecycle: onboarding logistics, offboarding checklists, and personnel files.
• Own compliance recordkeeping: I-9/E-Verify, labor law postings, policy acknowledgment tracking, audits, and EEO/ACA reporting.
• Administer benefits and leave logistics: enrollments, life events, vendor invoices, and leave documentation.
• Build and document HR processes: SOPs and repeatable workflows for onboarding, offboarding, leave, and system maintenance.
• Support recruiting operations: post jobs, schedule interviews, generate offers, manage background checks.
• Produce HR reporting: headcount, turnover, compliance dashboards for leadership.
• Leverage AI tools to draft communications, summarize data, and build templates to speed admin work.
