Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Assistant Human Resources Supervisor for its Home Care Agency. You will support employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll processes while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role requires a HR generalist background, healthcare experience preferred, and strong organizational and communication skills. A comprehensive benefits package and a dynamic team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 2-3 years’ HR generalist experience including employee relations and benefits.
• Healthcare/Home Care HR experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Discretion with sensitive staff information.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on employee relations and performance improvement plans.
• Consult with employees; conduct fact-finding investigations and mediate when needed.
• Prepare personnel documentation and file in employee charts.
• Coordinate benefits administration and open enrollment; audit bills.
• Administer FMLA, PFL, and other leaves; track and manage documentation.
• Lead recruitment activities including postings, screenings, and onboarding.
• Coordinate changes to personal information and position requisitions.
• Process weekly payroll and manage LHCSA admin staff in SmartLinx.
• Conduct new hire orientation and HR paperwork.
• Monitor licenses, certifications, and I-9/work authorization compliance.
• Plan and promote Employee Recognition events and staff appreciation.
• Support external reporting and regulatory compliance; update HR policies.
