Rock County is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources to lead and coordinate countywide HR functions. The role oversees labor relations, recruitment, staffing, compensation, policy development, training, performance management, records management, and compliance.

The position involves counseling department heads and supervisors, managing investigations, and serving as an advisor on HR practices. A Bachelor’s degree and seven years’ HR experience are preferred.

Formación

• Seven years of professional HR experience across multiple disciplines.
• Experience in employee and labor relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management, policy development and compliance.
• Strong supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Counsels and mentors employees and managers on employee relations and rights.
• Interprets county HR rules and regulations and supports investigations with findings and actions.
• Advises management on HR practices and contract negotiations; conducts training for managers and staff.
