Job summary

Blue Ridge Health in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our HR team. Based in our Admin Building downtown, this full-time clerical role supports HR policies, onboarding, benefits enrollment, and employee relations.

Entry pay starts at $19.20 per hour and benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 403(b) with company matching, paid holidays, PTO and personal days. Ideal for candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Two or more years of experience in employee relations, benefits administration, and employee training (preferred).
• Strong skills using Microsoft Office and various computer systems and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develops requisitions and monitors approval workflows.
• Assists with development and delivery of new hire signups, orientation and onboarding segments.
• Supports annual benefits enrollment by preparing HRIS configuration, conducting educational meetings, assisting employees with enrollment requirements, processing benefit elections, confirming results and maintaining records.
• Answers benefit questions and resolves issues for employees as needed.
• Assists with employee appreciation and community service events.
• Conducts internal HR compliance audits, summarizes findings for management review, coordinates corrective actions and maintains records.
