Brown University is seeking an HR Specialist within the School of Engineering. The role supports 10 academic/research groups and 11 central administrative groups, advising on recruitment, onboarding, policy and salary matters.

The position also manages Workday processes and student employment programs. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years HR experience in higher education, demonstrating strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years’ HR or executive level support in higher education preferred.
• Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central HR liaison for multiple academic/research groups and administrative units.
• Provide guidance on recruitment, onboarding, policy administration and salary recommendations.
• Act as Workday liaison and administer student employment programs.
• Advise on employment law and HR policies while maintaining confidentiality.
