This team provides HR expertise, consultation, and program administration across more than 50 units, focusing on leave administration and non-permanent employment processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
• Prior experience in a human resources-related role.
• Experience using PeopleSoft or a similar enterprise human resources system.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships and effectively collaborate with employees, leadership, and campus stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and independently manage work while maintaining attention to detail.
• Professional HR certification, such as aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply university policies, procedures, employment regulations, and HR best practices to provide guidance, resolve complex issues, ensure compliance, and develop effective solutions that support operational and client needs.
• Collaborate with DASA leadership, managers, employees, HR partners, and University Human Resources to address HR matters, strengthen processes, and support the strategic direction of the division.
• Utilize PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin, and other HR technologies to process, monitor, and track HR actions while maintaining accurate and reliable HR data.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, workflows, and program administration to promote efficiency, consistency, and effective service delivery across the division.
• Provide professional, timely, and responsive HR services to clients and stakeholders, building productive working relationships and addressing needs with sound judgment and discretion.
• Provide additional program and administrative support to the supervisor and Assistant Vice Chancellor for HR as needed, including support for the DASA service award and onboarding programs, and other related duties as assigned.
