Job summary

CFS in Indiana (Danville) is seeking an HR Specialist to build well-rounded HR experience across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, and HRIS. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional or recent HR graduate with internship experience.

You will work closely with HR leadership and gain exposure to multiple areas of the employee lifecycle while contributing to a nonprofit focused on helping others.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field; internship considered for recent graduates.
• 2+ years HR experience if no degree.
• Experience across core HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, or HR administration.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and new employee onboarding.
• Serve as a resource for employees while supporting employee relations and HR administration.
• Maintain employee records and help administer HR policies and procedures.
• Coordinate employee training and support professional development initiatives.
• Support HR compliance, benefits administration, and HRIS data management.
