Base pay range

$19.80/hr - $23.00/hr

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Specialist is responsible for providing essential support to the Human Resources department with a focus on recruitment, IT-related functions, and employee engagement initiatives. This role will assist in managing the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth HR operations, supporting IT needs, and contributing to the growth of Our House through employee engagement efforts.

  • HR Support: Oversee the entire recruitment process from sourcing candidates to scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and managing job offers. Facilitate onboarding processes for new employees.
  • Support leadership in addressing employee disciplinary issues, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.
  • Track employee participation in training programs to enhance skills and performance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel files and assist with audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Administer benefit programs and help employees understand their benefits options.
  • Assist in meeting internal and external reporting deadlines related to regulatory tasks and audits.
  • Coordinate and support employee engagement initiatives and activities; support recognition and reward programs.
  • Develop and manage health, wellness, and safety programs.
  • Review and verify timecards bi-weekly; coordinate with supervisors to resolve discrepancies prior to payroll.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and track required trainings and certifications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS system-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Facilitate HR-related and system-based training sessions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
IT Support
  • Oversee and manage relationships with IT vendors.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment.
  • Respond to and resolve IT-related inquiries and issues.
General Responsibilities

Qualifications
Education
  • BA in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience

  • Familiarity with vendor management and with ADP Workforce Now.
Schedule Requirements
  • In-office, 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
