Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead a 2–3 person HR team in Troy, MI. You’ll drive onboarding, offboarding, leave management, payroll coordination, and compliance initiatives across multiple states, partnering with leadership to align people programs with business goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HR experience.
• 1-2 years of team mentorship/management.
• Reporting/analytics knowledge (EEO, VETS).
• Some payroll knowledge.
• Unemployment claims understanding across multi-state portals.
• Experience in a mid-sized company preferred.
• Familiarity with immigration hiring requirements a plus.
• Prepared presentations and ability to work with senior leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a team: 2 - 3 HR team members
• Manage the team with a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
  • Onboarding
  • Offboarding
  • Leave Management
  • Ticket system
  • Offer letters
  • Investigations

Requirements:

• 4+ Years of HR experience required
• 1-2 Years of team management / mentorship experience required
• Reporting/analytics knowledge EEO, VETS
• Some payroll knowledge
• Unemployment claims understanding and experience in multi-state unemployment portals
• Experience working at a mid-sized company highly preferred
• Familiarity with immigration hiring and requirements are a plus
• Technology savvy
  • Excel, ADP Workforce Now, Sharepoint, Smartsheets, Greenhouse, Equifax experience is a plus
• Polished professional able to prepare presentations and work with leadership
