Qualifications

• 8 years’ + experience in a human resources generalist capacity.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Suite.
• Proficiency with HRIS, ATS and database systems.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-versed in legislative requirements and employment law.
• Strong customer service orientation and leadership skills.
• Generally requires a College/University degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Listens and fosters open communication throughout the business.
• Advises senior management on addressing employees’ concerns.
• Leads investigations into employee issues and works with internal parties to find solutions.
• Provides interpretation, consultation, and facilitation to employees and managers on confidential issues.
• Ensures HR services are provided to internal client needs and identifies opportunities where HR can add value.
• Maintains knowledge of HR issues and compliance; tracks employee work results and coaches managers.
• Conducts talent reviews and succession planning with the business.
• Participates in pay equity initiatives and internal equity assessments.
• Liaises with benefits on questions; designs and develops program communications.
• Researches and develops policies aligned with best practices; leads cross-functional projects.
• Ensures legal compliance with federal and state requirements; applies SOX to HR activities.
• Builds relationships with external providers to address resource requirements.
• Maintains employee data and reports trends.
• Supports training and development programs for employees and managers.
