Job summary

Sanmina in Huntsville, AL, seeks a senior Operations & Plant Manager to lead diverse manufacturing activities for commercial, defense, and aerospace markets.

You will own profitability, safety, and quality, shaping strategy, budgets, and capital plans while driving continuous improvement across complex product lines. A senior leader with EMS/defense experience is preferred and a clearance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field is required; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive operational leadership experience in advanced manufacturing, EMS experience is a plus.
• Extensive experience navigating ITAR, FAR/DFARS, and AS9100/ISO 13485 regulatory environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Tier-1 MRP/ERP systems, NPI cycles, and capacity planning.
• Strong financial acumen with full P&L oversight and budgeting experience.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and plant management across production, quality, and safety.
• Develop and implement strategies to exceed goals for efficiency, yield, cost, and on-time delivery.
• Spearhead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve productivity and cost management.
• Oversee supply chain and materials management, including strategic sourcing and compliance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR and quality standards.
