Job summary

Wayne State University is seeking a dedicated HR/Recruitment Support Specialist to work with the Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Personnel Office at Fort Wainwright or Fort Greely, Alaska. The role focuses on recruitment, staffing coordination, offer extensions, and pre-employment screenings.

You will use automated HR systems to track personnel actions and support management in posting vacancies. A grounding in MS Office and proficiency with HR information systems is required; prior federal HR

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience showing HR task execution.
• Experience using automated recruitment and staffing systems (USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft).
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work with a variety of HR information systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of technical support focused on recruitment and staffing.
• Coordinates with management officials to recruit for position vacancies.
• Extends job offers, conducts pre-employment screenings, and assists selectees during processes.
• Uses automated systems to track requests for personnel actions and updates status.
