Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc in Birmingham, AL is seeking a full-time Recruiting and HR Support role within our Corporate HR team. You’ll support recruiting activities, associate experience initiatives, HR reporting, and department projects.

Working closely with recruiters, HR Business Partners, and leaders, you’ll help coordinate recruiting processes, onboarding, and HR resources. Collaborate with recruiters to analyze workforce feedback, maintain records, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of applicable HR or recruiting experience.
• Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office; HRIS experience a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, reliable with strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for recruiting and HR initiatives.
• Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, and onboarding activities.
• Assist with pre-employment processes, including background checks and I-9 verifications.
• Support career fairs, internship programs, and recruiting events.
• Conduct and coordinate employee touchpoints, including 60-day and 1-year reviews.
• Maintain recruiting, onboarding, and employee feedback records and reporting.
• Partner with HR Business Partners on employee experience initiatives and projects.
• Assist with HR analytics, workforce reporting, and trend identification.
• Support development and maintenance of HR SharePoint sites and resources.
• Participate in process improvement and special HR projects as assigned.
