Job summary

BBI Logistics is seeking a hardworking HR/Recruiting Intern to gain practical experience in Talent Acquisition and HR while collaborating with our Transportation Team this summer.

The role covers full cycle recruiting, sourcing, screening, and interviews, with learning FMCSA/DOT requirements. Interns will shadow the recruiting team, present a portfolio, and participate in company events.

This paid internship requires in-office presence in Columbus and offers mentorship from BBI leadership.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates pursuing a bachelor's degree preferred.
• In-office presence required; no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Learn full-cycle recruiting from sourcing to offering a candidate.
• Shadow and work alongside the recruiting team throughout the summer.
• Develop sourcing skills and craft outreach messages.
• Learn FMCSA/DOT requirements for hiring.
• Review applications and determine next steps.
• Conduct phone screenings and in-person interviews as growth allows.
• Participate in weekly interview meetings with leadership.
• Present a portfolio project to leadership and colleagues.
• Collaborate with interns on volunteer activities and events.

BBI is looking for a hardworking, confident, and task-oriented student looking to gain HR/Recruiting experience. As an HR/Recruiting Intern at BBI, you will acquire practical experience in the Talent Acquisition and HR field while collaborating with our Transportation Team. What you’ll be doing.

• Learn the full cycle recruiting process from sourcing to assessing to offering a candidate
• Shadow and work alongside our recruiting team throughout the summer
• Develop sourcing skills by identifying and connecting with potential candidates, crafting and sending eye catching outreach messages to spark interest and build relationships
• Learn and use FMCSA/DOT requirements and rules for hiring
• Review candidate applications to assess qualifications and determine next steps in the hiring process based on role requirements and organizational needs
• Engage in phone screenings and in person interviews, progressing to conducting your own screenings as responsibilities grow
• Participate in weekly interview meetings with leadership, offering insights on each candidates' ability for the role
• Showcase your portfolio project, highlighting your accomplishments from your summer role, and present it effectively to leadership
• Collaborate with your fellow interns by participating in volunteer activities and company outings
